Pr\u00e6biotisk inulin er alts\u00e5 en slags fibre, der har til form\u00e5l at fremme udviklingen af bakterier i tarmene. Det vil alts\u00e5 sige, at pr\u00e6biotika ikke indeholder levende bakterier i sig selv. De er i h\u00f8jere grad mad for de bakterier, som lever i tarmene.\n<blockquote>&#8216;Pr\u00e6&#8217; betyder <em>f\u00f8r,<\/em> og &#8216;biotika&#8217; betyder <em>noget der er levende.<\/em> Pr\u00e6biotika betyder alts\u00e5: \u201cf\u00f8r det levende\u201d. <\/blockquote>\n\n<h3><span id=\"Hvor_findes_praebiotika\"> Hvor findes pr\u00e6biotika? <\/span><\/h3>\nDu finder pr\u00e6biotisk inulin i et hav af f\u00f8devarer, is\u00e6r i fuldkornsprodukter og gr\u00f8ntsager, der har et naturligt indhold af kostfibre. Der findes forskellige fibertyper, der virker som pr\u00e6biotika, fx inulin som tidligere n\u00e6vnt, og FOS og GOS. \n<br><br>\n<em>Vi har samlet en liste over de f\u00f8devarer med det st\u00f8rste indhold af pr\u00e6biotika: <\/em> \n\n<div class=\"faktabox\"><strong>5 f\u00f8devarer med pr\u00e6biotisk inulin, pr. 100 gram:<\/strong><br>\n<ol><li>Jordskokker: 12,2 gram<\/li>\n<li>M\u00e6lkeb\u00f8tte rod: 12 gram<\/li>\n<li>Cikorierod: 5,2 gram <\/li>\n<li>Hvidl\u00f8g: 9,8 gram<\/li>\n<li> Artiskok: 2,2 gram <\/li><\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\nHvis man \u00f8ger m\u00e6ngden af fibre i sin kost, er det en god id\u00e9 at drikke mere v\u00e6ske, s\u00e5 du hj\u00e6lper ford\u00f8jelsen mest muligt. \n\n<h3><span id=\"Hvad_er_forskellen_paa_praebiotika_og_probiotika\"> Hvad er forskellen p\u00e5 pr\u00e6biotika og probiotika? <\/span><\/h3>\nSom n\u00e6vnt tidligere er pr\u00e6biotika ikke levende bakterier, men er det br\u00e6ndstof, som probiotika lever af. Den direkte forskel er netop det faktum, at den ene er levende, og den anden er en slags &#8220;mad&#8221;.
